Nature and culture – the online counseling

(How spiritual assessments from the primeval times guide and influence love relationships)
.
Nature and culture are sometimes in opposite
In these modern times, the problems men and women have with oneself and with their relationships are on the one hand to be sought in their personal imperfections. But on the other hand, they are seen as an incompatibility, which these archaic programs have within the norm, rules and expectations of the modern society system.
Expressed otherwise: Some behavior patterns, which were an advantage for our ancestors in primeval times, are useless or even directly harmful nowadays. They can be disturbing in many phases of life and often lead our love relationships directly into the abyss – triggering the most tragical human complications and entanglements.
Like voices from the underground of our souls, wanting to navigate and guide us, to surface these predispositions from eras long gone, to try to influence our behavior. However, they seldom have such an imperative character, that we are not able to willingly distance us from them. This distinguishes humans from animals.
Oftentimes, we have to pay a price, if we lead a life, or must lead a life, which does not consider these ancient instructions from primeval times. It costs emotional power and energy to stand up to the voices of our biological “self”, even if we are not aware of it. We as cultural beings, having grown up in an artificial environment, assume silently that this way of life complies with our nature, because we don’t have proper access to our primitive part anymore.
Humans doubt and despair often enough in themselves, because they perceive themselves as not good enough to reach ambitious goals, especially when it comes to partner relationships. Evolutionary psychological knowledge might sometimes help to enable the perception that many of these goals are contradictory to the biological core of our being. Due to that, we reach our limit when it comes to implementing them.
The evolutionary psychology has dedicated itself to the exploration of these historically developmental adaptations. It rendered surprising insights over the last decade, which could help us to understand our human nature on a deeper level.
As an evolutionary oriented behavior biologist, I have developed theoretical concepts, which provide the foundation of my consultations. These are aligned to an image of humanity, which considers these ancient behavioral adaptations. This knowledge enables us to look upon those interpersonal problems through the so to speak „evolutionary-psychological magnifying glass”, to offer a consultation concept based upon this theory.
Of course, these theoretical deliberations will be completely left out of the consultation conversations. They are only of relevance in my head – they are totally irrelevant as background information for the client. Today, it is only about the solution for the client’s relationship difficulties.
